This tool will allow you to select your Cisco UC500 communications solutions products in an easy to use, plain English dynamic questionnaire. At Westcon we understand the need to provide a complete solution so you will find that your UC500 solution will also include an an Emerson Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and custom-made racking as well as options for GN Netcom Headsets and even installation services.

Connection Types :

  • Foreign Exchange Office (FXO) : An FXO interface is used for trunk, or tie line, connections to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
  • Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) : An FXS interface supplies ring, voltage, and dial tone for basic telephone equipment (faxes, analog phones), keysets, and PBXs.
  • Basic Rate Interface (BRI) : A digital connection to the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) capable of carrying 2 voice channels.
  • Primary Rate Interface (PRI) : A digital connection to the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) capable of carrying 30 voice channels.

    Note : Connectivity Option 3 only valid on 48 user systems where Connectivity Option 1 is a PRI.
  • Select the level of support on the UC500:

    It is recommended that the UC500 be backed by Cisco's aware winning Smartnet support services. This offers;

  • Around-the-clock, global access to the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
  • Access to the extensive Cisco.com knowledgebase and tools.
  • Cisco Operating Software support to extend the life of Cisco devices with improved security, increased performance, bandwidth management, new protocol support, and greater interoperability.
  • Advanced hardware replacement (premium options available for onsite parts replacement and via a field engineer.
